My name is Jacqueline Hope & I write young adult fiction novels.
I mean, I'm other things, too, not just an author. I'm a daughter, an older sister, a college student currently trying to survive F.I.N.A.L.S. (F*ck, I Never Actually Learned This Sh*t) and striving for a degree in Psychology (nope, not English. Can you say rebel?) As well as a french onion soup connoisseur, Grey's Anatomy addict, and avid shower performer (mostly of the show tune genre.)
As a writer, I'm constantly aware of things going on around me. After all, the best characters come from real life. I eavesdrop a lot...how else am I supposed to hear incredible things for my characters to say? Sshhh...I feel like I'm telling you all my secrets. I'm just saying, if you are talking about something you DON'T want to show up in a novel, make sure I'm not in earshot. (;
A few fun facts about yours truly:
1. I'm originally from Honolulu but currently reside in Utah. 808 -> 801...who knew one number could make such a huge difference?
2. If I coud do anything and not fail it would be audition for (and become a part of) a big Broadway production. Right now those would be: Newsies, Wicked, Hairspray, or Bring it On: The Musical.
3. I'm in love with Starbuck's holiday drinks. I must go to Starbucks more during the months of November and December more than the rest of the year combined. Something about those magical red cups just do it for me. On a related note, chocolate and peppermint is the best pairing ever. Better than PB&J, better than steak and potatoes. Just better.
4. I'm horrible at thinking of fun facts about myself.
